A Beautiful, Healthy Smile that lasts a lifetime is our ultimate goal. Your personal daily Oral Hygiene plays an important role in achieving that goal. Your personal home care starts by eating balanced mealsand correctly using the various dental aides.
Tooth brushing - Brush your teeth at least 2 times a day (especially before going to bed at night)
Flossing - Daily flossing is the best way to clean between the teeth and under the gumline. Flossing not only helps clean these spaces, it disrupts bacterial plaque colonies from building up, preventing damage to the gums, teeth, and bone. A tooth has 5 surfaces and the tooth brush only cleans 3 of them. The dental floss can clean the other 2 surfaces.
Floss holders are recommended if you have difficulty using conventional floss.
Choose toothbrushes and types of dental floss that you find easy and comfortable to use.
Rinsing - It is important to rinse your mouth with water after every meals. If you are using any mouthwash, it’s recommended to consult us on its appropriateness for you.
Water flosser - A water pik (water flosser) is a device that aims a stream of water at your teeth. A water pik can help remove food particles from your teeth and might help reduce bleeding and gum disease. It is very helpful to clean the area between the teeth, below the dental bridges, during the orthodontic treatment and for cleaning the area around the dental implants.
Clinical studies show that the Water Flosser is up to 51% more effective than other dental cleaning aids in reducing gum diseases….
